Today I'm wearing Soothing Petals, a light pink shade with a subtle blue sheen. It's a great polish for the spring because it's fun and girly. It kind of reminds me of a pink rose! The down side of this nail polish was that it was a little bit streaky and very sheer. :( But once you build it up into an opaque color, it looks super pretty!
I'm not exactly sure that brand this is, but on the bottom of the bottle, it says the brand is Skintimate. But isn't that the brand that sells shaving cream? I really have no clue, and I'm not sure if you can get this color anymore, but there are lots of dupes for this color, (Essie Fiji, OPI Bubble Bath).
Enough of me typing, here are the pictures! :)
Natural Lighting - 3 Coats
The nail polish bottle is cute and is pretty similar
to Essie's bottle, since it has that same type of
square shape.

If you liked this color, you should try and get your hands on a dupe of it! This is going to be a go-to spring color for me! :)
Hi everyone!
So we recently had a huge spike in visitors to neonrouge.tk, so I was really curious to see where all of our viewers were coming from. It turns out that we were featured in the Member Spotlight on Elle&Blair!!
Check it out here: http://www.elleandblair.com/post/member-spotlight-blogger-love
They selected FIVE blogs, and we happened to be the first one on their list! Wow, we are so honored and grateful!!
They wrote, "1. Neon Rouge has some great tips on her blog, neonrouge37. One of our faves: “Add water to a perfume to dilute it and turn it into an air freshener.” How genius!"
Haha, I guess they thought Neon Rouge is run by one person. Oh well! My sister and I are practically a single entity anyway. x)
I wanted to take this chance to say THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT! We love our viewers so much! :) If you have any requests, please let us know because we'll be churning out videos for all of you to enjoy!
xx

Hi everyone!
I recently ordered a box from Julep because they had a special New Year's promotion. The total turned out to be ONE CENT for the month's box! Crazy, right?

What I received:
1. Glow On Age Defying Hand Brightener(valued at $32) "Julep™ Glow On Age Defying Hand Brightener visibly minimizes the appearance of fine lines and age spots on your hands, adding radiant glow and evening skin tone. Contains rare African plant extracts that are clinically proven to block melanin production and reduce hyper-pigmentation and micro light diffusing technology gives hands an instant glowing and luminescent appearance. Advanced emulsion system imparts water-resistant, non-greasy softness. For best results, use after exfoliating hands with Julep Facial for Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub. Does not contain: parabens, sulphates or phlthalates." 2. Anne (valued at $18) "Ultra-saturated violet. A tribute to one of our beautiful celebrity guests! Eye-catching on a pedicure and head-turning on a manicure--especially if your wardrobe is heavy on blacks and neutrals. Professional quality “4-free” nail polish formulation, developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP. Shine on! $1 will be donated to organizations that support women through our Powered by Girlfriends program." 3. Maria (valued at $18) "Shimmering platinum rose. Feminine and sophisticated. Professional quality “4-free” nail polish formulation, developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP. Shine on! $1 will be donated to organizations that support women through our Powered by Girlfriends program."
I was so excited to receive this in the mail!
Super cute packaging! At the same time, I feel like the box had a lot of space left over... a smaller box would be sufficient considering how small the nail polishes are! I always appreciate companies that spend less on packaging to make their products more affordable, versus this.
As true to color as I could get it! Both are pretty, right? The metallic shimmer in Maria is so eye-catching!
The actual bottles are soooo small though. $18 value? I don't think so.
Love this color! (And I don't even like the color pink!)
I would love to buy this separately... if it weren't $32. :(
Love products with SPF30! Will be sure to try this out sometime.
Value: 5/5 for the price I paid for it but otherwise 2/5
I'd much rather spend $20 a month on OPI, China Glaze, Zoya, etc.
Quality: 3.5/5
Packaging was great, but actual product quality was so-so. Loved Maria, but kind of hated Anne's streakiness. The nail polishes also chipped like MAD. The hand cream was great, so I'd maybe consider spending $20 on that.
Repurchase: No. Not unless there's another ONE CENT deal!
Be sure to watch my video for a more thorough review of each product/demo!
What do you guys think? I want to hear about your experiences, and other sites that you recommend me checking out!
Hey everyone! For some reason, we couldn't find Tip Tuesday #12, so here's #13! We'll try and upload #12 next week! ^^ Anywho, we'll be giving you 4 tips under a minute! Hope you enjoy our video! :)
Watch the video here:
Tip 1 - Since sun or heat can harm sensitive skin, wear a mineral based sunscreen. Tip 2 - Apply a powder bronzer two shades darker than your skin tone for a healthy glow. Tip 3 - Dip your nails into a bowl of ice cold water to freeze them right up! Tip 4 - Avoid the high setting on your blow dryer, let your hair dry naturally.
Learned anything new? Got any tips to share? Let us know!
Hey guys! This was a pretty popular request from you guys, so I decided to make a video sharing what I typically do for my everyday look. I have monolids, and sometimes it's hard creating a look that isn't too heavy or too light. This look is the result of many years of fine-tuning my everyday look, so I hope you enjoy!
This tutorial is monolid and double eyelid friendly! :) Great for students who want a more natural look.
Be sure to watch the tutorial!

Hi everyone! So I've been meaning to work on my resume over break, but I somehow got sidetracked and created an online portfolio instead (productive procrastination?). You can view it here: http://lucyz.businesscatalyst.com/
What do you guys think of it? It's currently incomplete, but I'm actually really proud of how it turned out! For those of you who are wondering how I made it, I used Adobe Muse (http://muse.adobe.com/). The software is currently in its beta stage, so you can go download it right now for free! According to the Adobe Muse site, "Create websites as easily as you create layouts for print. Design and publish HTML pages to the latest web standards without writing code. With easy-to-use master pages, built-in tools for interactivity and more, Muse makes it a snap to produce distinctive, professional websites."
Hi guys! It's Tip Tuesday #11, so we'll be giving you 7 tips under a minute! :) Hope you enjoy our video!
Watch the video here:
Tip 1 - Wash your hands after applying makeup to avoid makeup stains on your clothes.
Tip 2 - Use honey on blemishes or burns.
Tip 3 - Spray your perfume on your wrist, neck, and hair.
Tip 4 - Remember to brush your tongue!
Tip 5 - Wear a darker colored lipstick to make your teeth look whiter. Make sure it doesn't have yellow or orange undertones otherwise it'll make your teeth look more yellow!
Tip 6 - Don't brush your hair too often, because it makes it oily.
Tip 7 - Lost your toothbrush? Eat an apple to get rid of any bad odor!
