I filmed this a while back in December but I didn't have all of my nail polishes at the time so I didn't upload it. I re-filmed it in June so I decided to finally upload it today!
Watch it here:
Let me know if you want to see a makeup collection video! :)
That's right! You heard me! I'm not going to be painting my nails until mid-august which is when school starts. My nails are way to damaged that they need a break!
Today I'm wearing Crystal by Zoya, which is a metallic sky blue with gold flecks in it. I love my Zoya nail polishes because they are so opaque, shiny, long-lasting, and they are 3 free!
Hey everyone! I'm doing a bunch of reviews on the products I got in my Influenster box, the Spring Beauty VoxBox 2012. This one is the Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Frock Star. DISCLAIMER: I was sent this product for free, but I AM NOT BEING PAID/SPONSORED & all opinions are my own. :)
I got the one in Frock Star.
On the box it reads:
Lasts up to 10 Days
No Dry Time
Can be removed with nail polish remover
Comes in 40 types of designs
It comes with:
16 Nail Polish Strips
Cuticle Stick
Mini File
Buffer
I'm so excited to try this out, this design looks like a dupe for Deborah Lippman's Happy Birthday. The only thing I don't like about these is that they are made of real nail polish so they can and will dry out once you've opened the package. This product retails for $9.99.
Today I'm wearing Cashmere Rain, a metallic pink. I'm not exactly sure what brand this is, but on the bottom of the bottle, it says the brand is 'Skintimate'. But isn't that the brand that sells shaving cream?
Natural Light - 2 coats
This color is a really pretty shade of pink! I don't own very many metallic polishes since I'm not a huge fan of them but I really like this color. This color is opaque, not thick or streaky.
Hey everyone! 'Today' we wanted to show you how to do a Paw Print nail design! When I say 'today' I mean last year in July! We filmed this all the way last year in July, so excuse the messy-ness of this design! Just clean up the skin around the nails and it should look fine. :)
Here's the finished look! Make sure you practice on paper first!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial even though it was quite messy... ^^;; Better ones will come in the future, promise!
Today I'm wearing Orange by Forever21, and Fuchsia by E.L.F. Cosmetics. As I said in my last NOTD, I'm in love with painting my nails randomly. It's a good way to use up nail polishes since I rarely use the orange color because it doesn't looked good by itself. I was inspired by some roses that were growing in my backyard, so it made it nice combination. :)
Here's some pictures:
Natural Lighting - 2 coats of each
Fuchsia by E.L.F. Cosmetics Left Hand: 1st, 2nd, 5th finger is Fuchsia, 3rd, 4th finger is Orange Right Hand: 1st, 2nd, 5th finger is Orange, 3rd, 4th finger is Fuchsia
Orange by Forever 21 To be honest, I think this orange is more mango toned than orange toned.
Do you like this nail combination? Let me know! :) Do you have any suggestions?
Today I'm wearing two nail polishes, Soothing Petals by Skintimate (not exactly sure what brand... but that's what it says on the bottom of the polish!) and One Day Without Blues by Essie. Both were limited edition colors, so unfortunately you can't get them anymore, but I'm sure you can find dupes for them! :) I wanted to try a new and random type of combination to paint my nails, so I decided to paint the blue nail polish on the 5th and 4th finger and the pink nail polish on the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st finger. On the other hand, it was reversed, so my 5th and 4th finger were pink and my 3rd, 2nd, and 1st finger were blue. To be honest, I really like this style because I can use 2 nail polishes and because it's different than just putting one accent nail.
Enough rambling... here are a few pictures!
Natural Lighting - 2 coats of One Day Without Blues - 3 or 4 coats of Soothing Petals
one day without blues by essie I absolutely love this color, it has a pretty gold sheen to it. I got this nail polish from a TOMS event on Facebook last year for free. :) (by the way, sorry about the lighting in this picture!! it was super cloudy outside)
soothing petals by Skintimate I mentioned before in my NOTD post a few months ago, NOTD: Soothing Petals, that this bottle looks similar an Essie nail polish, so here's the comparison! Please check out my NOTD for this nail polish for a more in-depth "review".
I love these types of "random" combinations, I will definitely be doing more in the future!!
Today I'm wearing a combination of Julep's Anne, and E.L.F.'s Fire Coral. I LOVE Fire Coral, it's a trendy color for the spring and really adds a pop of color. Anne is a straight up grape purple. It's a pretty color, but the application was horrible. :( Lucy actually did a video review on Julep Maven so here's the link to that: http://neonrouge37.blogspot.com/2012/01/julepcom-box-review.html
Natural Lighting - 2 Coats of Fire Coral, 1 Coat of Anne
FLASH - 2 Coats of Fire Coral, 1 Coat of Anne
Not gonna lie, I hated Anne's application because it was very thick and gloopy (if that's even a word). Fire Coral's application was a slightly thick but I think it's because I've had it for over a year. (Left) Julep- Anne (Right) e.l.f- Fire Coral
Even though the application kinda sucked, I LOVED this combination.
Today I'm wearing 2 nails polishes from Forever21. There's no specific name for them, but one is a Light Mint color, and on top of that, is a Gold Glitter. The Light Mint is streaky but it's a very pretty color. I love the gold glitter because you can wear it over any polish, and I love the color gold. :)
I'm SO excited for the Hunger Games movie to come out on March 23rd! And I recently found out China Glaze is coming out with a nail polish collection inspired by the Hunger Games! These nail polishes are being released in stores on March 1st. My favorite colors are Luxe and Lush and Smoke and Ashes. I think all of these colors will be super pretty so definitely go check them out!
The nail polish's are based on each district's industry. District # - Industry - Nail Polish Name District 1 - Luxury - Luxe and Lush District 2 - Masonry - Stone Cold District 3 - Electronics - Riveting District 4 - Fishing - Hook and Line District 5 - Power - Electrify District 6 - Transportation - Fast Track District 7 - Lumber - Mahogany Magic District 8 - Textiles - Dress Me Up District 9 - Grain - Harvest Moon District 10 - Livestock - Foie Gras District 11 - Agriculture - Agro District 12 - Coal Mining - Smoke and Ashes
What is your favorite color(s) from this collection? Let me know what you think about this collection!
Today I'm wearing Sunset by E.L.F. with OPI's Black Shatter on top. I haven't used my shatter nail polish in a while and decided to give it a go today. :) The shatter came out pretty good, but it had a bunch of scratches by the next day. :( Sunset is a super pretty purplely-pink duo-chrome, it's was really opaque so I got away with only 1 coat. I really like using the shatter nail polishes, and I'll definitely be using it more in the future!
Here are some pictures! :)
Natural Lighting - 1 Coat of each
This combination of colors are super pretty! :)

Do you like using shatter/crackle/ect. types of nail polish? What's your favorite color? xx
Today I'm wearing Soothing Petals, a light pink shade with a subtle blue sheen. It's a great polish for the spring because it's fun and girly. It kind of reminds me of a pink rose! The down side of this nail polish was that it was a little bit streaky and very sheer. :( But once you build it up into an opaque color, it looks super pretty!
I'm not exactly sure that brand this is, but on the bottom of the bottle, it says the brand is Skintimate. But isn't that the brand that sells shaving cream? I really have no clue, and I'm not sure if you can get this color anymore, but there are lots of dupes for this color, (Essie Fiji, OPI Bubble Bath).
Enough of me typing, here are the pictures! :)
Natural Lighting - 3 Coats
The nail polish bottle is cute and is pretty similar
to Essie's bottle, since it has that same type of
square shape.
Soothing Petals by Skintimate (?)
If you liked this color, you should try and get your hands on a dupe of it! This is going to be a go-to spring color for me! :)

Professional quality “4-free” nail polish formulation, developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP. Shine on! $1 will be donated to organizations that support women through our Powered by Girlfriends program."
I was so excited to receive this in the mail!
Super cute packaging! At the same time, I feel like the box had a lot of space left over... a smaller box would be sufficient considering how small the nail polishes are! I always appreciate companies that spend less on packaging to make their products more affordable, versus this.
As true to color as I could get it! Both are pretty, right? The metallic shimmer in Maria is so eye-catching!
The actual bottles are soooo small though. $18 value? I don't think so.
Love this color! (And I don't even like the color pink!)
I would love to buy this separately... if it weren't $32. :(
Love products with SPF30! Will be sure to try this out sometime.
Value: 5/5 for the price I paid for it but otherwise 2/5
I'd much rather spend $20 a month on OPI, China Glaze, Zoya, etc.
Quality: 3.5/5
Packaging was great, but actual product quality was so-so. Loved Maria, but kind of hated Anne's streakiness. The nail polishes also chipped like MAD. The hand cream was great, so I'd maybe consider spending $20 on that.
Repurchase: No. Not unless there's another ONE CENT deal!
Be sure to watch my video for a more thorough review of each product/demo!
What do you guys think? I want to hear about your experiences, and other sites that you recommend me checking out!
Hey everyone! I've been so MIA lately! But here's a Nail of the Day Post!
Today's Nail of the Day is Color block nails! I used the colors Light Pink, Light Red, and Plum by E.L.F Cosmetics. These nail polishes are great, because they are only a 1$ each! I was inspired to paint my nails like this after watching sarahbelle93x's tutorial on Color Block Nails. Its a super easy to do and is really cute for fall and winter.
I used 2 coats of the Light Pink, 1 coat of the Light Red, and 1 coat of the Plum. I took this picture with natural lighting.

Hey everyone! This is my first nail of the day post, but there'll be more to come soon!
Today's Nail of the Day is Charla by Zoya. This nail color is really pretty, and even though it looks turquoise, there are green reflects. It's super sparkly and when I remove it, there's sparkle residue left on my nail that I can't really remove with nail polish remover.
I used two coats of this polish and I took these pictures using natural lighting.

So do you like this nail polish? What's your favorite from Zoya?
This nail design was inspired by Gerlan Jeans S/S 2011, which was recently worn by both SHINee and f(x). Like I mentioned before, I loooove the color mint, so when I saw the cyan/mint and pink design I just had to recreate it. :) Watch our video to learn how to do it! It's so easy, and it doesn't have to be perfect to look good.

Lisa's version, she used e.l.f.'s white, blush and black nail polishes.
