Julep Maven Box Review

Hi everyone!
I recently ordered a box from Julep because they had a special New Year's promotion. The total turned out to be ONE CENT for the month's box! Crazy, right?
You can check out Julep here: http://www.julep.com/
In case you don't know what Julep is, here's a description!
"We launched our new Julep Maven program to give all of our girlfriends access to the beauty editor Sneak Peek Box we create every month.  As a Julep Maven, you will have access to the hottest trends in nail color and the latest Mani Care and Pedi Care products - delivered right to your doorstep, just like the beauty editors do.  And you'll have access to these trends and products before anyone else.
We know that tailoring and customizing each editor delivery is critical to gaining her attention and enthusiasm, so every Sneak Peek Box we send you will be tailored to your needs and preferences.  Just take our fun and easy Julep Maven Style Quiz to help us understand your style profile.
Then each month, we'll send you an email to let you know what we've curated for you in your customized beauty editor Sneak Peek Box.  If you don't like what you see, you can try a new style.
What I received:
1. Glow On Age Defying Hand Brightener (valued at $32)
"Julep™ Glow On Age Defying Hand Brightener visibly minimizes the appearance of fine lines and age spots on your hands, adding radiant glow and evening skin tone.  Contains rare African plant extracts that are clinically proven to block melanin production and reduce hyper-pigmentation and micro light diffusing technology gives hands an instant glowing and luminescent appearance.  Advanced emulsion system imparts water-resistant, non-greasy softness.  For best results, use after exfoliating hands with Julep Facial for Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub.  Does not contain: parabens, sulphates or phlthalates."

2. Anne (valued at $18)
"Ultra-saturated violet. A tribute to one of our beautiful celebrity guests! Eye-catching on a pedicure and head-turning on a manicure--especially if your wardrobe is heavy on blacks and neutrals. Professional quality “4-free” nail polish formulation, developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP.  Shine on! $1 will be donated to organizations that support women through our Powered by Girlfriends program."

3. Maria (valued at $18)
"Shimmering platinum rose. Feminine and sophisticated. Professional quality “4-free” nail polish formulation, developed without carcinogens such as formaldehyde or formaldehyde resin, toluene and DBP.  Shine on! $1 will be donated to organizations that support women through our Powered by Girlfriends  program."

I was so excited to receive this in the mail!
Super cute packaging! At the same time, I feel like the box had a lot of space left over... a smaller box would be sufficient considering how small the nail polishes are! I always appreciate companies that spend less on packaging to make their products more affordable, versus this.

As true to color as I could get it! Both are pretty, right? The metallic shimmer in Maria is so eye-catching!
The actual bottles are soooo small though. $18 value? I don't think so.
Love this color! (And I don't even like the color pink!)
I would love to buy this separately... if it weren't $32. :(
Love products with SPF30! Will be sure to try this out sometime.
Value: 5/5 for the price I paid for it but otherwise 2/5
I'd much rather spend $20 a month on OPI, China Glaze, Zoya, etc.
Quality: 3.5/5
Packaging was great, but actual product quality was so-so. Loved Maria, but kind of hated Anne's streakiness. The nail polishes also chipped like MAD. The hand cream was great, so I'd maybe consider spending $20 on that.
Repurchase: No. Not unless there's another ONE CENT deal!
Be sure to watch my video for a more thorough review of each product/demo!
What do you guys think? I want to hear about your experiences, and other sites that you recommend me checking out!
xoxo Lucy
